GFIF 2014

COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Lahore, Pakistan is proudly hosting the second Global Forum on Islamic Finance (GFIF), after the successful conduction of the first GFIF, another platform for scholars from around the globe in the field of Islamic finance to share latest developments in Islamic finance and related fields and all participants to quench their desire to be informed more about the field due to its increasing success in the world market. The theme of the Conference is “Developments and The Way Forward”.

يَـأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لاَ تَأْكُلُواْ الرِّبَا أَضْعَـفاً مُّضَـعَفَةً وَاتَّقُواْ اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ

"O you who believe! Devour not usury doubled and multiplied; but fear Allah that you may prosper”

(Al-Quran, Surah Aal-Imran, Verse no.130)

Every passing day, Islamic principles of financial management are proving to be more and more dependable in the global market due to the fact that Islam considers wealth as the source of development and sustenance of human life and hence, not to be left under the system which may turn out to be a source of devastation in social, moral and economic system of society. Hence, it has been acknowledged far and wide, from East to West, that Islamic Finance has the potential to provide a solution to the problems of inflation and financial problems the world is facing today. The expansion of Islamic financial institutions and products worldwide is evidence of the fact that Islamic financial management has a promising future.
